Wellness Blood Testing

Every year we recommend you bring your pet in for an annual exam to ensure they are in the best of health. At that time we have an external look at your pet. By getting a blood sample and doing wellness testing, it allows us to have an internal look at your pet. There are different levels of wellness testing. We will recommend the level appropriate for your pet depending on their age.

What does the wellness testing test for?

* Immune System Function
* Hydration Status
* Organ Function (ie. Liver, Kidney)
* Blood Clotting Ability

Why should I have this done?

There are 2 main reasons why wellness blood testing should be done:

* It allows us to detect any disease that may be taking place in the body that we may not being seeing outward clinical signs for. In other words, early detection of disease
* We are able to get baseline values for your pet specifically. That way, should your pet get sick in the future, we compare her blood work when she's sick to when she was healthy and know what changes have occurred.
